This German written e-mail tells me that my order could not be processed because Amazon was unable to charge my credit card. After calling the credit card service hotline I knew all about this issue. The massive traffic of Xmas-orders was the reason for this (uninteded?) alerts from Amazon. And Amazon debited my credit card account as usual. It simply worked the way it always works.
But then I got more of those e-mails from Amazon. Until today I counted five such alerts and I really don’t know why they send them since there was no problem at all? The most ugly thing about those mails is that you cannot simply answer them and get a helpful response from an Amazon employee. I wrote some e-mail to contact@amazon.de and got a boilerplate e-mail as response. That’s bad, I don’t like to talk to dumb computers.
I was very upset about this and you can imageine I feared the worst: my son will get no Xmas presents at all! Today I picked up everything from the local post office — what a relief. And I got a little bit wiser, next year I will order earlier, it’s better for my mental constitution!
